Lilly and Pipper, two super sweet 8 years old female and male teacup yorkshire terriers, got her teeth cleaned yesterday with Miami Natural Pet Care.
Miami Natural Pet Care has been cleaning their teeth anesthesia free for a few years now and these two dogs’teeth form tartar the fastest ever! In 2 months they create as much tartar and plaque that most dogs would do in 6 months. It is lucky for them they don’t have to be put under general anesthesia for their dental cleanings as it would be way too much for their little bodies. We usually recommend dental cleaning every 2 to 6 months to avoid gum recession and accumulation of tartar and calculus.
If your pet let you do it, we also recommend daily home dental care that would include brushing your pet’s teeth, or using other effective techniques to discourage accumulation of dental plaque, such as dental diets and chew materials. Daily home health care should be combined with examination of your pet by a veterinarian and radiographs. Routine dental scaling and polishing without anesthesia will optimize your pet’s oral, and overall, life-long health.

Ideal candidates for non-anesthetic cleaning is a young patient, often one to three years old, with light buildup of dental plaque or calculus on his or her teeth. The cleanings should be done every 6 months along with a program of home care which includes brushing and dental chews, to try to prevent the progression of dental disease.Older patients that have had previous dental treatment under general anesthesia can benefit greatly from non-anesthetic cleanings every four to six months.

Today was Daschund’s teeth cleaning at Miami Natural Pet Care. 3 Daschunds got their non anesthesic dental cleanings. Max, 10 years old, who lives in Brickell had a lot of tartar and plaque removed. Not responding well to previous anesthesia, his owner was worried to put him under again.
Ginger and her younger brother Mickey, 9 and 8 years old, really needed their teeth cleaned as well. Much better breath resulted.

Hannah and Edwin are two happy labradors. They live in a beautiful house un Coconut Grove. Hannah is already 13 years old and develops tartar and plaque pretty quickly on her teeth, especially on the upper molars and premolars.
