Polishing after a cleaning is essential

Regular dental care involves more than just scraping tartar off the teeth. Thorough dental care involves scaling, probing and polishing. These procedures can reverse the gingivitis process and keep the teeth and gums healthier for a longer period of time.

After the teeth are scaled and probed we spray them with chlorhexidine to further help eliminate the bacteria that are causing gingivitis.

Polishing the teeth makes them look whiter. It also smoothes off the enamel surface and makes it more difficult for bacteria to adhere.

Our last 2 dental cleaning patients with Miami Natural Pet Care live west in Sweetwater. Buddy is 15 years old terrier with liver and kidney disease. Mimi is his 6 years old sister. Anesthesia is of course highly dangerous for Buddy. Tartar and plaque were removed, teeth were then polished and and antibacterial flush was applied on top of teeth an gums.

Please contact Miami Natural Pet Care for more information and to set up an appointment. Thank you.

Louis got his non anesthesic dental cleaning

Is your dog take a long time to recover after anesthesia? Throwing up, lethargy, depression… Here is Louis acting so happy 1 minute after his dental cleaning without anesthesia !

A lot of tartar was removed, Louis is a 8 years old papillon and never had a dental cleaning before in his life because of bad previous reactions to anesthesia. His mom was scared of putting her dog under because of it and he got severe halitosis.

Please contact Miami Natural Pet Care for an appointment.

Thanks

Dilemma got her non anesthesic dental cleaning at 4paws only

Dilemma, 12 years old rat terrier, had bad reaction to anesthesia the last she was put to sleep for surgery. Their owners got really worried and decided to not put her under again. Her teeth developed a severe amount of tartar and plaque for years. Miami Natural Pet Care was able to get her new clean smile once again at 4 paws only. Fresh breath is back to give plenty of kisses. If your pet is not a candidate for procedures under anesthesia please do not let his or her teeth get rotten, give us a call, thank you.
